Extensive Experience

Oversees all aspects of release management for the entire installed customer base.

Conducts impact analysis for major releases or critical applications; assesses benefits and risks.

Participates in the development and testing of back-out procedures and recovery strategies.

Develops and disseminates communications about new release training.

Drafts communications about product release delays.

Develops distribution dates based on development, testing (QA), validation, packaging activities.

Proficiency Level 4
Subject Matter Expert

Demonstrates in-depth experience with product release management.

Elaborates on tools, techniques and approaches for effective version control and audit trails.

Redesigns or improves release management practices and tools.

Monitors marketplace experiences; enhances existing practices and transition strategies.

Observes and evaluates releases for the purpose of process improvement.

Evaluates strengths and weaknesses of alternative release management technologies.
