Proficiency Level 2
Working Experience

Measures audio and video signal data and records for analysis and adjustment.

Produces high-definition audio and video and compresses them to fit into the transport space.

Participates in the broadcast acoustic quality development, maintenance and control.

Resolves the interference of radio frequency in the satellite and terrestrial communication systems.

Demonstrates knowledge of video encoding/transcoding, video acquisition equipment, video monitoring and quality principles, EMS platforms, acquisition, and delivery.

Proficiency Level 3
Extensive Experience

Directs audio and video signal analysis and leads in the implementation of the video platform.

Evaluates the format of audio and video files; plans and manages the signal from analog to ASI to 3G over SONET or IP/MPLS.

Monitors the overall production process to finalize audio and video production delivery.

In-depth knowledge of video encoding/compression priciples and protocols (RF/8VSB, ASI, SDI, MPEG4/H.264, 4k, et. al.) Monitors the implementation of security working standards to ensure proper access and controls.

Evaluates the risks and develops contingency plans for communication and the video broadcasting platform.

Proficiency Level 4
Subject Matter Expert

Designs and implements the audio and video analysis system for quality assurance and improvement.

Leads in archiving and information storage technology processes regarding audio and video data storage and maintenance.

Designs and develops production methods and procedures to ensure quality of the audio and video production and transport.

Establishes best practices in Video and Media Audio on Transport and Broadcasting.

Designs and directs the overall security system of the audio and video studio for consistency of operation and production.

Champions the use of the latest technology for Video Broadcasting and Transport to improve broadcast quality, transport delivery, and consistency.
